Translate Ideas is a firm of consulting Architects registered with statutory bodies that include South African Council of the Architectural Profession (SACAP) and the South African Institute of Architects (SAIA). The firm is 100% black women owned. The firm’s primary goal is to provide the highest possible level of services in all aspects in the execution of the responsibility for design, documentation and administration; to ensure a successful delivery of the projects. The overall objective of the project is to provide the client with professional services across the full spectrum of the project life cycle from inception to closure, i.e., Stages 1 to 6 as per Architectural Profession Act 44 of 2000.Professional Boards
Principal Architect: Tendai Nkomo
Tendai Nkomo is registered with the South African Council for Architects (SACAP) as a Professional Architect and holds a Bachelor of Architecture Degree. She has vast experience in the construction industry both locally and regionally, having worked on large multimillion Rand projects over the past 15 years and gained extensive experience in leading complex projects and multi-disciplinary teams on high profile projects through the entire construction process. She has undertaken duties as the Project Manager, Project/Lead Architect, Architect and Principal Agent on projects from planning, design, documentation through to construction procurement, project implementation and close out. Her Architectural experience include work on Educational, Health/ Medical, Commercial, Retail, Religious, Entertainment & Recreational, Industrial, Residential projects, etc.
Tendai’s experience includes management of design and project teams and coordination of the services of other consultants in the team and ensuring that projects are delivered in time, within cost and are of high quality. Her ambition is to achieve results that consistently exceed expectations.
